Once someone got mad at me for not knowing the names of the US Supreme Court judges and I had to gently point out that I don't even know the names of the Australian High Court judges

How dare you not centre the US at all times!

It's wild, almost like I have never lived there and don't care that much about the country itself

My knowledge of Australian Hot Topics is basically being excited that
@kylieminogue is re-releasing her latest album, and being jealous of your handling of the pandemic (I live in Brazil, which makes it even worse) -
Fun fact: it was her last live gig (as far as I know) and mine as well, right before we shut it all down (and then opened it all up and our controlling of the pandemic went awry).https://twitter.com/kylieminogue/status/1368540472810037249?s=19 …

I’m jealous of how well Australia has dealt with Covid. I’m curious that no right winger used masks and distancing as a wedge issue to stoke division.

I've had a smattering of Aussie's come at me, saying their mitigations were unnecessary and too harsh (though some had no mask mandate). The biggest move they made, imo, was stopping importation of new virus. That means inter-national and inter-state travel restrictions, TTI etc
