The point is that herd immunity is BY DEFINITION about protection of people *who are not immune* If unvaccinated/uninfected people stop getting sick...that's literally herd immunity at work
(Sorry, should've said it *may* be herd immunity, obviously there are other reasons like interventions that could reduce rates of infection across all age groups)
And kids from 4th to 10th grade have limited physical school time. My kids stil learn mostly by zoom. Go to school 2-3 times a week for only 3-5 hrs. Full school opening only begins now (4th this week, 5-6th grade next week etc...).
Also, Israel has 9 million people who mostly live in two cities. Hard to extrapolate to US.
Imagine making one good argument based on data and then saying lockdowns did anything despite all other data. 
Lockdown here (Israel) has been over for about a month now. Rates would have increased if it were due to that.
