This is a fairly easily falsifiable claim. If deaths in excess of COVID-19 were due to lockdowns, places with few cases of COVID but with lockdowns would have many excess deaths And they don'thttps://twitter.com/MartinKulldorff/status/1380141761251704832 …

Excess deaths in excess of #COVID19 deaths are due to lockdowns. They are not COVID19 undercounts as suggested by @AaronBlake in @JeffBezos's and @amazon's @washingtonpost. https://www.washingtonpost.com/politics/2021/04/06/how-ron-desantiss-critics-are-turning-him-into-hero-right/ …

Of course, the impacts of lockdowns are complex, but given that many places in the world with lockdowns but no COVID-19 cases have seen NEGATIVE excess mortality, the claim made above simply cannot be truehttps://gidmk.medium.com/what-are-the-negative-effects-of-covid-19-lockdowns-8f77dddf19bb …

Melbourne is a clear example that lockdowns cause excess deaths narrative is completely false.

I cant find data on Melbourne, but Australia had excess deaths from November onwards in both all cause mortality and cancer.pic.twitter.com/CbqwaFxujq

The "falsifiable" angle can be used to disprove the efficacy of masks and lockdowns as well with a proper cherry picked sample of countries and regions. Each variable obviously operates in accordance with other variables. Universal truths rarely exist if ever at all.

Different angle - are there any examples of lockdowns with excess death and no COVID?

In the Great Barrington Declaration @MartinKulldorff claims "missed vaccine appointments" will lead to "lockdown deaths." Can anyone point to the data of how many have died in the USA from Polio, Measles, Mumps &/or other vaccine preventable diseases b/c of missed appointments?
