Here's a question - is there an example of someone who said that the pandemic was over/herd immunity reached in the last 12 months who has then admitted that they were wrong?

Or "I was kind of wrong but forget about me because I think these people were more wrong," Price Is Right style.

Yes, sort of
@EpiEllie did a lovely I thought........but I was wrong . It was a example of how someone can own their mistakes or early perceptions in an adult way. People like Levitt Kulldorf et al could learn a bit from Ellie on how to earn respect. -
Oh yeh, but
@EpiEllie never said the pandemic was over. Also, her statements were rarely ridiculous, they were based on best evidence which then changed - Show replies

Berenson.....

. Sorry, no I can’t think of one. Levitt issued a few mealy mouthed I misinterpreted the data wrong, but no I was wrong. Everyone else seems to have doubled down on the wrong.Thanks. Twitter will use this to make your timeline better. UndoUndo

I don't know you can be mostly right but wrong about a minor issue that turns out to be key.

I am skeptical (pun intended) he was "simply reporting the CDC's ACTUAL lag-adjusted for that week", because otherwise he would have chosen to add some wording along the lines in the quoted tweet. https://twitter.com/Marco_Piani/status/1331202138614149120?s=20 …pic.twitter.com/332jajZoC8

See, that's a perfect example of no admission. "I was wrong but really the CDC was to blame" is pretty much the opposite of admitting a mistake
