Here's a question - is there an example of someone who said that the pandemic was over/herd immunity reached in the last 12 months who has then admitted that they were wrong?

I'm not looking for the mealy-mouthed half explanations here. Lots of people have said "I was kind of wrong but also mostly right", that's not really admitting an error in my book

No... around me people have doubled down even more about it being over, despite all pf the evidence to the contrary. Weekly anti-mask rallies and protests galore. Our numbers are climbing exponentially. 😞🙄🤬

I was certain this pandemic would be over by the summer of 2020.

Not that I’ve seen. There are several I’d like to see it from, but imo, the worst offenders are not so much the scientists/medics, but the overnight narcissistic Twitterati that have suddenly received Matrix style PhD/MD downloads in all facets of science.pic.twitter.com/tWt5OearOc

These words from @MackayIM should be in the post-pandemic annals for COVID history: “When a topic is so far removed from your area of expertise, it can be best to make doubly sure that you choose your words carefully. Your influence matters.”
