Here is a suggestion: stop misrepresenting what Ioannidis wrote. I have repeatedly asked people to indicate where he "punched down" or made any ad hominem attack. No one will do it because there isn't one there. This is an ugly attempt to avoid discussing the science in the paper

He's at a far higher level than the author he punched at in Appendix 1. Of course statements about photo on a Twitter bio etc are ad hominem. As I pointed out, I already critiqued both systematic reviews as preprints so no "ugly attempt to avoid discussing the science" on my partpic.twitter.com/e5F24NU7OU

Some of the things in Appendix 1 are also untrue, much of the rest is misleading. I haven't really talked about that aspect, because I don't think it matters much, but worth noting that the appendix is wrong in many places

Some things don't deserve responses and that Appendix is one of them. Anyone who can't see how extraordinarily inappropriate it is has such a blind spot or such extreme bias, nothing would help.

Yes that's how I feel. That the journal printed nonsense is less important than the fact that they thought such an attack was justified even if it had all been true

Made no sense from journal point of view: self-defeating, serving only to distract attention & undermine the integrity of both the article & the journal. Journals are supposed to stop authors putting a foot in their mouths - much less shooting themselves in it while it's there.
