-Thirty threader on top of 3 day constant tweeting about one person is infatuation and obsession -It's John Ioannidis, and Covid aside, he's on track to be the most cited scientist of all time -@GidMK attacking Ioannidis for credentialism week after this is so Covid hypocrisypic.twitter.com/Kf2aipGHyg

Mmmm. Haven't read the constant tweeting, sounds tiresome. The thirty tweet thread was OK though; just one thought... I'm afraid I don't buy the credentialism argument. JI has just published a _paper_, in peer-reviewed literature, saying that several junior scientists ../

I've certainly been tweeting a lot since Sunday, but in my defense it's mostly saying "thank you" to people being nice so I'm not sure I'd agree it is actually about "one person" in any meaningful way

Fair enough. Not taking sides on this one, I haven't read the Tweets. I _am_ taking sides on bigshots writing papers trash-mouthing other scientists for being smaller. Not having that. It's repulsive.

For unknown reason, in the pile of trash Covid science, Ioannidis has been picked as a single person that's been consistently vilified so I imagine he's lost it. His IFR estimates remain controversial, and desire to produce single global IFR reflects lack of ID epi expertise. 1/

But you have been tweeting a lot about him not just in this 3-day period in a way that sembles either fixation or reward system. But, that still does not justify his conduct and I hope he apologizes. 2/2
