Mixed info then! I researched getting one when I potentially had to transit via there from SA & "confirmed" ways to get them in country (via correspondence, fortunately didn't have to actually try). I'd absolutely believe that it's *easier* to get tested cross-border.

aside: the whole transit via Tanzania thing was a mind-boggling solution to direct travel restrictions on SA. How was that credibly safer scenario for the ultimate destination? Known risk + controls >> known-bad-but-not-how-bad risk with no controls any day.
