Lol. I think there's a strong argument for legalizing cannabis recreationally, but that's not really relevant when discussing whether it works for chronic pain

I think part of the problem is that a lot of people who are pro-legalization for recreational use have seized on the scant evidence for medical benefits as a path to achieve it

Terrible argument as a rule. Bloodletting was a common practice in many cultures in a similar way for many maladies. Poultices made of everything from cow dung to bread were commonly used to treat wounds. Age is not an argument for efficacy
