It allowed my mother to get much better quality sleep for a few hours each night in her last months and substantially improved her suffering. And every medical person told her to look into it, none could help with details. We found a stoner to help instead.

Same with my mom. It helped her sleep when she was the late stages of multiple cancers. I don't expect to see a study on that anytime soon.
