Love this. Any comment on the speculation about vaccine batch differences causing the 'spike' recorded by the PEI while none was found elsewhere?

As far as I know it's just speculation. Possible and I guess that's what they're investigating, but who knows

As I mentioned before, I don't think it is correct to compare risk of CVT after vaccination (of it turns out to be a true relationship) with that of COVID-19 death. The reason is that we have different vaccines so not using AZ will only delay vaccination by a few months.
-
I'm not sure I agree - given the current incidence of COVID-19 in most of these countries a 3+ month delay carries with it a not inconsiderable risk of getting the disease. Not 100%, but even 10% the ratio is in favour of vaccination

The problem is more one of mandates and liability. Apparently the German Health authorities (don't know about the others) don't have the mandate to weigh the risk of side effects against the risk of infection, but only against the risk of no vaccination.
-
The ministry of health could override this as a political decision (and it would obviously rightful to do so) but there is a good chance it would be liable for court cases and compensations from people suffering from known side effects (or relatives from passed ones).

But if I'm 24, healthy and don't take it, what's my risk ? ... See the world from their eyes and persuade them. That's the real game.
