Even for children, the risk of vaccination is likely to be orders of magnitude lower than the risk of COVID-19. The only reason to oppose it out of hand is ignorance 🤷‍♂️

Does this mean we should be vaccinating all children now? Of course not! Clinical trials are ongoing But dismissing the idea out of hand is absurd

I am counting down and literally cannot wait to get my high risk 12 year old vaccinated. First chance we get, her arm will be ready!

I don't understand how such an obviously smart person can keep getting things so completely and obviously wrong. I almost feel like he is just seeking attention at this point.

Why debate it now? At this rate we can defer the question until 2022...

Israel are looking to vaccinate children as fast as possible. SAGE has said it’s needed here ASAP. It’s the only way we’ll sort out our endemic Covid19UK now Govt have messed up so much.

As far as I understand IFR for children is quite low (0,002% according to one source). Wouldn´t that mean that we need trials with 100k+ participants to be able to significantly show lower mortality with vaccines? Or can you do that some other way?

You are right, that actually cannot be shown in a study short of 1,000,000+ participants...

Not sure about children, but those with prior infection definitely need a vax. 1. It's a booster, 2. It can kill off potential latency
