Let's not forget Gupta's IFR of ~0.05% for England was so low that it requires way more people be infected in England than actually exist in England. Her position is impossible, yet people keep relying on her work https://coronavirus.data.gov.uk/details/deaths?areaType=nation&areaName=England … 14:42 - 15:19 :https://youtu.be/DKh6kJ-RSMI?t=882 …

Has Gupta ever attempted to explain this? I follow these discussions fairly closely, yet haven't seen anything. I find this somewhat surprising, because it is such a basic point that one would expect some kind of explanation / elaboration.

Completely over the shifting-sands type of BS artist. Believing stuff last year because wishful thinking is reasonable, when truth became obvious they should have backed off Denial of deaths (with or of?) or germ theory (LDs have no effect!) at this stage is unacceptable

Neil Ferguson predicted that without extreme NPIs the virus would spread exponentially and infect the whole population in two months (with a death toll in the UK of 220,000 - 550,000 before the end of May). Only a
#Lockdowncultist could believe that came true anywhere. -
That is a complete misrepresentation of the quite detailed paper that was released about this time last year
