If I were trying to encourage a culture of academic civility I'd probably avoid insinuating that my colleagues were completely unqualified and/or directly attacking them on social media, but I guess that's just me

Anyway, if the pandemic has shown nothing else it's that virtually no one who claims to think that academic civility is important is willing to walk the walk when it comes to their own actions

So now I'm getting anti-semitic abuse from supporters of the Great Barrington Declaration again. Guess I'll get a glowing editorial defending me and decrying the critics in STAT any day now!

Ugh, I'm so sorry. I've also been the target of Twitter antisemitism; it totally unnerves me. I was subjected to a bad pile on by Great Barrington Declaration fans; it was vicious (e.g., threats of execution). Many of Kuldorff's followers are very scary! He did nil to stop them.

@Twitter does not care much either! I reported the “execution” tweet & their response was: “We’re writing to let you know that after reviewing the available information, we didn’t find a violation of our rules in the content you reported.” So execution tweets are fine!2 replies 0 retweets 1 like
