You could, and in some instances ~you'd be correct~. Eugenics was a major branch of science for decades, and considered objective truth, even though it was the epitome of a social construct

"Science is socially constructed" is technically true but misleading since it neglects to mention that science exerts effort to minimize the impacts of this fact, and is thus very unlike most socially constructed things in being tightly constrained by non-social factors (facts).
