Are you going to appologise to @ludvigsson and retract all material on SoMe and published media (you know this thing with Brandolini) that states false allogations in @ScienceMagazine which could not be backed? Andrew blocked me after this👇. You can decide if you are better.https://twitter.com/mdlhenning/status/1347856266476056576 …

@AndrewEwing11 I recommend you sincerley to appologise to @ludvigsson and to enter the arena of accademical dispute fighting for the best arguments with a tweetorial (instead of the unscientifical weapon of ad hominem attacks) #uncertainties #tradeoffs

The question goes to to @GretchenVogel1 @martinenserink @kakape @GidMK @schneiderleonid @lonnibesancon Andrew Ewing was the signer of the Sick Man Decleration (SMD), a sad moment for science. I kindly ask you to stop using GBD for the wrong purposes and in the wrong context.

Sorry what is the right context for the GBD? It is a unscientific piece of political nonsense funded by a libertarian think-tank and is, at best, a pretty shameful document to have signed

Sorry to see that you, a much more clever person than me, cannot see the problem. GBD is about distraction and to make people rush to click, shame and blame. Its modern journalism made by @GretchenVogel1 and @kakape . Its not part of any scientifical discourse worth its name.

I am talking about how the GBD was used for the purpose to rush against a single scientist. Why this? Why not look at the data and the events how they played out as we used to do in science before? Thats the main thing with your great podcast, to look behind medias communication?

I think people are looking at the data. One datapoint is clear and outspoken support for an unscientific political document

Not 100% certain (like normally in science) but probability high that the numbers of death among children and teenagers 2020 was random. The cause of deaths will come. The whole story that Jonas came to conclusions bc of political motifs does not hold with the present evidence

I'm not sure what that has to do with the GBD? I do sometimes wonder why people would throw away all scientific credibility by signing the GBD, it's such an unscientific political document
