Long-term safety data in exposing kids to covid seems to be non-existent.

The short-term risk to children (<15yo) from COVID-19 is modest, roughly on par with a nasty case of the flu The long-term risk is entirely unknown and, it appears, not well studied at all

100%. Nothing abt this pandemic bothers me more than the lack of even apparent interest in this topic.

In Badalona (Barcelona) the Hospital Germans Trias i Pujol (Can Ruti) has a pediatric unit of long covid. There are some Children and teenagers that still manifest incapacity for daily life long time after infection.http://ics.gencat.cat/ca/detall/noticia/HUGTiP_Unitat_COVID_Pediatrica …

Thanks for your refreshingly honest comm’s. I still just can’t compute how some can’t say ‘we just don’t know.. yet’ There’s no shame in it & its a lot less potentially harmful than pushing guesstimates or faux reassurance

To be fair that may well reflect tiny numbers when it comes to diagnosed cases and time for consequences to have manifested

Obvs it is important to study; just to ensure I don’t wake up to people having thought i am dismissing it

Early on in the HIV pandemic, it was just a fever and muscle aches. People don't respect the "novel" part of a novel virus.
