I'm torn about this. I'm rapidly approaching the point where I'm giving up on having a paper dealt with through official channels (the data appears to be non experimentally derived). But making a public allegation of straight up fraud isn't something I'm keen on.

I never allege fraud, because fraud requires intent and commenting on people's intent is impossible. That being said, I think it's perfectly reasonable to point out inconsistencies in a public sphere, particularly when the official responses are often...lacking

Again completely agree I have seen first hand the benefits of twitter peer review (you even got a thanks in a manuscript!) I have also suffered the painful and drawn out process of trying to react to published articles through journals, rapid peer review via SoMe much better
