Also, it sounds like China has already investigated most of these people? I guess you could run repeat antibody panels using more sensitive tests, but it's not like the possibility is entirely unexplored

Not really. It's always been a bit of an open question whether the initial infection happened at a market in Wuhan or whether that was simply the first super spreading event
