I had to get all in with the forums to make it work. Weird

Yup. The tribe matters. For all but the few self motivaters, adherence is all about social pressure

I didn't 'get it' until I decided to switch to a modified diabetic diet. I upped the protein, lowered the carbs & watching the percentages. The % fascinated me. I'd been using the app off & on for 6+ yrs yo-yoing 20-30lbs. Accidentally going keto & watching % I lost 110lbs

I find calorie logging burdensome, and so only used that feature of my tracker (FitBit) for a short period to get an idea of caloric intake. Most people don't want to constantly and in detail think about every thing they consume, and then try to find the "right" entry for it.

When I was in grad school, a scientist I know excitedly sent me a link to a new diabetes-related app. My response was basically, ‘thanks, but I want to spend less time on diabetes, not more.’ Apps that are heavy on data entry just kill me.
