I don't think that's really true. I know that there are very strong opinions on both sides, but I suspect that you could write the exact same article arguing the opposite position and have just as many studies to back up your points

At the start of the school year I asked a virologist, who is planning to collect good data to assess this in the US? and he replied, nobody is. I was flabbergasted than and am so mad that it’s still true.

Similarly biased studies in non-representative settings + magical thinking bc it is what you want to be true so you don’t have to face the very real trade offs that have to be made. If you can convince yourself it’s safe for everyone then the answer seems easy & clean.
