I know I've said this before but if you think you've found an easy solution to a problem that all experts have missed, you might want to check to see if actually there are good reasons why it's not as good a solution as you first thought

This is not to say that experts are always right, or some other silly pronouncement, but if you think you've solved, say, physics by watching some Youtube videos you might want to stop for a minute and consider the possibility that you are wrong

Like improving HQ air ventilation and ensuring all HQ staff have N95 masks and adequate PPE + daily testing? Seemed obvious to many months ago. And yet still no national standard.

Maybe they were taught in such strict standards that they cannot fathom thinking out of the box Maybe the gatekeeper decades ago stopped such a great idea and today it is resurfacing. Or you can do you, and ignore everyone else.

Saying “outside the box” is just a slogan that doesn’t advance knowledge. Go ahead and think outside the box about airplanes. See what happens when you try it out and crash into the ground. Most contrarian thinking is simply wrong in the end.

Man except for the “experts” on this virus. Dear Lord they have been wrong and look foolish which has only made the non scientists even look smarter. Y’all failed terribly
-
Being wrong and not knowing for sure or offering hypotheses are very different things. Most expert knowledge was right. The DNA sequence. The type of virus. The danger of widespread pandemic. Other things came into view with more and better data. It’s called science.

But when the "experts" were very very wrong early about key aspects of the pandemic (borders, lockdowns, possibility of elimination, airborne...) you can see why it is hard to stop the wacky conspiracies spreading so much. Most people don't have the time or skills to know better

No, it looks easy to me and the experts who don’t agree with my solution are probably just dumb or chicken or partisan

Or trying to put microchips in you.
