Does anyone remember people predicting the second wave would be like the Spanish Flu? I don't. I remember one guy saying there wouldn't be a second wave because we had reached herd immunity, but I don't remember that.pic.twitter.com/z1PzZRAZmi

The Imperial prediction was that deaths in the second wave would likely outstrip the initial outbreak if action was not taken to reverse the trend Depressingly prescient, it seems
They nearly have already. I think everybody except Ivor could see this coming.
Oh, I don't know about that, there were plenty of people completely blind to obvious facts last year you can't blame it ALL on Ivor
What did they think would prevent it? Test and trace? Herd immunity?
Several different suggestions. Many implied that we were already at herd immunity, some said that the virus had lost all lethality, many some combination of those and other things
Because of the politicized nature of the argument, I don't think many of them thought that test/trace would do anything (it's a government program after all, not suited to contrarians)
