I should note - much of this was clearly wrong even on March 17th 2020

Why have the myths been permitted to perpetuate with seemingly little checks?
-
Guess b/c many people just *want* to believe it. And they very well fit into the agenda of some in politics.

The so called "The Great Barrington Declaration" is an interesting read too!

What if I told you (and I know you know) that among others things, he fell for the absolute worst and least accurate health statistic I’ve yet encountered. Say it with me. The CFR of seasonal flu is nowhere near as high as 0.1%.

I'd be shocked I tell you, shocked

His whitewashing of the problems with right bracketing was bad. Stating only 1% of the US would get infected is criminal

The 0.3% IFR is low but not incredibly low (presently we are in the 0.5%), but hos did it come to only 1% infected??
-
You cannot only look at his IFR in isolation – it is low for the wrong reasons and it was calculated based on first-wave standards of care. It is not accurate if it happens to be "close" based on inappropriate comparisons.

Don’t forget this gem from the other part of that tandem. Quite literally “this is not representative, but if it was!”pic.twitter.com/8Farx0Hocn

That part was mind-boggling. He was correct that the true infection number had to be much, much higher than was known, but then tied that to deaths at that time, which was clearly wrong. It was already known that death lagged infection by multiple weeks.
