This is somewhat tongue-in-cheek, about half of the countries on that list (Canada, Japan, etc) do have ~some~ medical bankruptcies, they are just exceedingly rare and on the order of dozens a year rather than 100,00s

Canadians do file for bankruptcy due to medical expenses. Not even close to as many as Americans, but it does happen.

That isn't entirely accurate. In the Netherlands there's quite a few people falling so far behind on their monthly required healthinsurace fee that they are bankrupt and in debt-clearing programs or that are avoiding healthcare because of the, low yearly total manditory co-pay.

Also, in The Netherlands there still are (a limited number of) various serious, outlier, healthconditions that are not coverd to a patient (or their surrounding)'s surprise, needing unprepared investments of tens of thousands of euros to get the care wherever it ís offered.
