Also important to recognize that in the study itself, the rating of "favorable" was to an extent subjective, so it's possible that the 56% number may be inflated somewhat

The researcher conflict of interest when industry is paying is obvious; I wonder how much ideological/identity conflict there is the opposite way, if industry funding is normative and those who eschew it are a highly selected bunch.
