please do not spread these lies Vic... especially about public health and safety

This is literally what Hazzard said. I know you get really upset when people criticise NSW Migga (because it’s not Victoria) but Hazzard is the one saying the system needs to change as air crew are not currently quarantining. They are ‘self isolating’. Nowhere near good enough.pic.twitter.com/T2vgvmGGLH

I could not care less which state we were referring to, but the statement you made about NSW allowing flight crews to spread COVID-19 is simply wrong. Here is the relevant legislation: https://www.health.nsw.gov.au/Infectious/covid-19/Pages/air-transportation-info.aspx …

The aircrew are currently not mandated to stay in hotel quarantine and are not being guarded to ensure they stay put. They aren’t being routinely tested (found that out when cleaner caught it). So what have I said that is wrong?

"previously airline staff were free to roam around and spread covid." This would be in direct contravention of the Actpic.twitter.com/27JPxEfJRW

If no one is stopping them roaming around, it is fair to assume they are indeed roaming around. Just like we found many times covid cases were roaming around when they were meant to be ‘self isolating’ - despite what the law requires they do.

In a similar vein, they are currently free to commit many offences, but given that there is I believe no record of it happening and it was not what occurred in this case, I'd say the statement was wrong

When you are ‘self isolating’ you are free to do what you want without anyone there to stop you. When you are in hotel quarantine you are not. What is so hard to understand about this?

And you are currently free to set any business you wish to on fire, with no one to stop you. It is, however, against the law and somewhat frowned upon

Why are they moving aircrews into a more secure form of quarantine? Is it because I’m right that currently there is no guarantee the flight crew are doing what they are told? You do realise people break laws all the time? More from Hazzard about making a change to current systempic.twitter.com/XGRTR3B6UG

As I said, they are as free to break the law as you or I would be to embark on a career of arson

Rather than arguing about technicalities, wouldn’t it be better to focus on the loopholes and fix them? Ideally before they lead to more community cases... there are more loopholes than just air crews.https://twitter.com/DamianTheAussie/status/1335886497770160128 …
