so maybe scicomm should focus a bit more on „removing the anchors“? i regularly see scicomm people not being better, but actually worse when it comes to moderation and integration of conflicting results or analyses.

I would argue that the degree of confirmation bias is quite trivial next to the massive nonsense that comes from using such deeply flawed methods. Yes, it's bad that people them interpret the resulting bilge as meaningful. But the bilge is maybe the bigger problem...
