Always good to normalize changing your opinion based on new evidence. What have you been wrong about this year? For me - that travel bans would have little impact during an epidemic. This was based on the best evidence at the time, and wasn't exactly accurate!

More specifically, I think that the early travel bans implemented in March (esp. those specific to China) probably ~didn't~ impact the spread of COVID-19 very much...

...that being said, the initial outbreak of COVID-19 aside, there is clearly a place for travel restrictions in LONG-TERM control of the disease, which is something that I definitely did not consider at the time

I'm hoping I was wrong to predict that Trump would dig in and refuse to yield power. The rats are all jumping ship, scrambling over each other to defy and dissociate from him. Except oily Rudy. Trump has gone quiet. Maybe he'll go quietly, leaving as big a mess as he can.

That’s unfair to rats as they are essential to our ecosystem.

Thinking that Australia federal response to this pandemic would have been more coordinated. That the organisations of healthcare would have adapted quickly to changing evidence instead of kicking and screaming resistance even until today. 2/

2/ underestimated the community response. Australians as a whole have been fantastic at doing what was needed without complaints. Overestimated the political bipartisan response putting country before party. Exceptions @DanielAndrewsMP and a very few others.

I thought schools in our area would see a high level of transmission in school and high school kids especially would stop wearing their masks
