The main take-home from this is that people who have already had COVID-19 will probably benefit from vaccination, although it is interesting to note the high rate of 'reinfections' here (maybe people who were sick but asymptomatic at enrolment?)

Worth noting that we need a lot more information on these individuals to make any firm statements - it's possible some were false +ves on serology, or that they were infected before the trial etc. Hard to tell from the information at hand!

If prior infection is not enough, why will a vaccine help? Wouldn't prior infection suggest little or short lived immunity?

This is weird... Here in Bergamo, where 0.6% of the population died, the 2nd wave mortality is 1/10 of the nearby Milan (20 minutes by car, same restrictions, same Google mobility data) q
