For those who are interested, the largest clinical trial to date has thus far not shown a benefit for vitamin D supplementation to treat severe COVID-19https://www.medrxiv.org/content/10.1101/2020.11.16.20232397v1 …
At a certain point we're arguing about a vague, purely hypothetical pathway rather than an actual clinical intervention

Well the Spanish pilot clinical intervention of calcifediol was excellent - so looking forward to larger trial results. IV NAC trial was excellent on severely ill Covid patients. Both help make up for low G6PD

Actually there were quite a few deficiencies with the study, which probably were due to the fact that it was a pilot rather than a full clinical trial. I wrote a bit about ithttps://coronavirus.medium.com/vitamin-d-and-covid-19-90f1d1493cc0 …

Also - the linkage of Vitamin D to G6PD enzyme & production of NADPH & it’s necessity to overcome oxidative stress from a virus of Covid19 (& precious manifestations of ALL the various severe reactions) are not vague or hypothetical
-
All have been thoroughly confirmed, documented, & biochemically explained in years past - just not collected in one place. In 2013, my mom suddenly had all the severe reactions people have today to COVID19- had to read 100’s of papers re G6PD to understand
