The only very minor criticism I have of this research is that the sensitivity analysis used a Bonferroni correction for multiple comparisons, which you could argue is a bit too blunt and may bias towards the null. That being said, it doesn't change the main results anyway so...ehpic.twitter.com/zSCnQObg98

Why on earth should a vitamin d supplement be helpful at all WHEN somebody is already sick? It regulates the immune system by maintaining ca2+ levels/ barrier interaction with gut microbiome. Therefore it helps avoiding an infection. But not so much during the infection.
