If we're talking about issues with economists during COVID-19, I think what I'd say is that some people's lack of understanding of the epi field has led them to rely on flawed assumptions which has often caused them to be wrong

My issue with that is that the schools paper was written by paediatricians. While it was wildly, irretrievably flawed, the fact that other people used it as evidence isn't quite the same thing?
