School districts are even smaller than counties.
My county (765,000 people or so) has 23 school districts.
Most southern states Spring Break is in mid-March (1 week). In northern states, it corresponds often to Easter and is a bit later. Then schools end between mid to end May and start back in mid-Aug or after Labor Day.
Yup. Can even vary within a town, if there are more than 1 district or public vs private schools. Definitely can differ town to town across a county. Complete lack of leadership or guidance.
