Re: middle initial vs no middle initial when publishing I’ve previously been told that you pick one and stick with it. How important is this now that everything links? Would it be weird to switch now? I’ve only published 10 or so papers so I figured earlier = better?

Yes, this would be ideal. I get http://academia.com alerts for citations and downloads of 2 other academics works. One publishes on middle eastern politics, the other on nuclear physics.
