2020 has really shown just few people actually look up terms before using them "Herd immunity" and the "precautionary principle" spring to mind

do you know why us local and state government or UK not doing more of this? And not investing in hiring/training more community tracers directly somehow (no third party with hand in the till)?https://www.cdc.gov/mmwr/volumes/69/wr/mm6946e1.htm …

There is vast, vast misunderstanding of what the ‘precautionary principle’ means *in principle*.

Have seen that 'herd immunity' has been misused, have not seen how 'precautionary principle' has been misused at least in the threads of conversation I've been following - any examples?

I've seen quite a lot of people saying we should use the precautionary principle and immediately do this or that. As if doing this or that doesn't come with their own risks.

I’m a big fan of the Precautionary Principle You know, as I was actually a fully sentient adult when Justice Campbell famously included the principle in the SARS Report. 😉

I'm finding that many would benefit from looking up "pandemic" in the dictionary.
