Because people keep asking, I wrote a piece on supplements for COVID-19 and why they're probably a waste of timehttps://gidmk.medium.com/supplements-dont-boost-your-immune-system-141a90103392 …

If it comes with that virulently coloured little blue man though, I’m half tempted to buy it.

It's difficult when there are studies with physiopathological bases that show positive correlations between use of substances such as some vit in critical patients and their clinical improvement, not only with COVID-19. I think better designed interventional studies are lacking.

I don’t think there’s been a large well-designed supplement study done since the Alpha-Tocopherol Beta-Carotene Cancer Prevention Study and the Beta-Carotene and Retinol Efficacy Trial found that, in smokers, beta-carotene supplements cause lung cancer.https://pubmed.ncbi.nlm.nih.gov/8901853/

Um... quite a lot of people are allergic to bee stings (me & my sister are) & some don’t know they are because they’ve never been stung. I’ve been stung 6 times & reactions vary, twice quite serious. Would this extract entering the body react in the same way as being stung?

any information about the ayurvedic... ashwagandha root and giloy root causing any harm?
-
I've never specifically researched those but as a general rule no medical intervention is completely without harm, although sometimes it's mostly to your wallet
