Too many people think you can just throw more money at the problem and scale up staffing quickly. It doesn't work that way. These people are specialized, they train for years, the have years of experience. They have human limits and we're burning them out with our selfishness.

You have a good point but I expect that hospitals must have prepared a contingency plan for over 100% capacity? Or for spill over to go somewhere? Am I not correct?

At this point, they all have contingency plans, but the level of care likely drops. There are only so many dedicated ICU staff, once you are drafting in community/primary care staff to manage ICU patients you're in trouble!
