Also, I'm very much in favour of putting exactly what the studies showed on all of these ridiculous products, because saying "may reduce cold symptoms in 6-11 yos by 5%" is much less compelling than "immune support"

I've been seeing a ton of "brain" supplements lately. Haven't bothered to look at ingredients (seemed like a scam), but would be interesting to hear your take on it some day. Odd that they only recently starting popping up all at once.

In Canada, I'd say most items for sale in pharmacies are not evidence-based. It bugs the hell out of me.

This is always my recommendation. The advertising around bioavailability (claims of which tend to multiply price hugely) stands on equally shaky evidence at an individual human level.
