And how about false negatives? You don't want people to go out and spread corona, because they changed their behaviour re self quarantaining, and also social distancing, wearing a mask etc. after they had tested negatively, but in reality were infectious.

Do you reckon that the low positive predictive value of tests performed in populations with a really low prevalence could be of concern at all? This is the argument I hear that does seems plausible, but which as far as I can tell could be solved easily by doing confirmation tests
