Sorry, you're right - I was thinking about people with symptomatic disease

?? Sorry, that doesn't make sense since it wasn't an exclusion criterion & differentiating between these people is a high-level objective of the trial.

Wait now I'm confusing myself. The exclusion criteria specify that people with previous COVID-19 are not included in the studypic.twitter.com/ltxMvjIURJ

Yes, from the way you described it. (Need to spend more time with the protocol.)

Protocol is somewhat unclear tbh. People with current infections definitely 'delayed' recruitment until they got better. Exclusion criteria also quite specific. But as you point out, this seems in conflict with the specified outcomes unless 'infection' does not mean COVID-19

I don't think it's unclear: I think it's impressive - any good protocol is packed with detail & you just need to be precise & spend the necessary time before jumping to conclusions. (There's levels/adequacy of testing/screening & people get through: FDA wants to know about them)

Sure, but every participant had a serological test for COVID-19 prior to being included in the study. So no one with a current infection, no one with antibodies, and no one with a previous clinical diagnosis. You'd imagine some people will still get in, but not many surely

Can't remember details off the top of my head & not spending time on it now. You might be rating the accuracy of tests/screening across those months higher than is justified.

I love you both so much* * In a pure admiration kind of way. Not a creepy love love kind of way.

We're both Australian (which explains a lot), & I'm also German (which explains a lot, too).

I'm also British, which I suppose explains something as well
