I think the big take-home message here is that A vaccine appears to provide protection (we can't be certain until they release data). The Pfizer vaccine is not the only vaccine in development and so the chances of others (that do not need refrigeration) have increased as well

There are two general classes of cold chain. Cold and cryogenic. The backpack works for refrigeration class (influenza) but not this specific new novel cryogenic virus vaccination. Other vaccinations in test are less difficult. A couple might be room temp. News at 11:00

The cold chain can be supported with liquid air, dry ice class cryogenics. Delivery and inoculation initially would be fast tracked sufficiently that a box package sized to fit into a small pickup would work. More difficult is managing the two shot compliance time window.
