How do you run a clinical trial of a vaccine when there are no cases

Phase 1 by the looks.

Isn’t it, randomise who gets vaccine and who gets placebo and see if anyone develops antibodies? So no need for active cases or exposure
-
So having a test population with low likelihood of accidental exposure would be good

Easier to run studies with immunological endpoints in places with no cases!

Allen: Speaking of virtually naive immunological populations.. Do you have any idea what happened to NHMRC #1 APPRISE funded "National & targeted sero-surveys of population immunity to SARS-COV2 to inform clinical & public health responses" job given NCIRS/Kirby? Any report?

Agree; it’s nonsense. They’ll have to do an additional trial in US or EU.
