I think most weight loss dietary research can be summed up as "The changes that you can comfortably stick with are the ones that work best for you."

If I don't eat breakfast I just eat bigger dinners. Though not eating sugar based foods or foods with added sugar led to a 6kg weight loss. It's calories in/calories out. Anything else defies the laws of physics. *shrugs*

I lost nearly 200 pounds with the basic calories in calories out. I think it depends on the individual what's best. I tried intermittent fasting it was ok didn't really seem to help or harm me. I realize ppl do it for reasons other than weight loss.
