It is perfectly reasonable to describe negative consequences of govt action like lockdowns, however it is totally nonsensical to compare this to life as normal when in reality the alternative is an out of control epidemic

Basically all the things I said like 6 months ago. You have to compare economic and death consequences in both paths to each other. A key thing people also seem to miss open or not economic systems don't recover when people are scared to shop.

The faster it goes, the more likely the medical system gets completely overwhelmed and the fatality rate climbs like crazy. Everywhere looks like the hardest hit places, like northern Italy in March and NYC in Italy. The best thing to do is whatever it takes to limit the spread.
