Remember in the Before Times when you got a cold and even though you work in a hospital where sick people go you still went in to work? I think about this often

I mean, I've always been very lucky because I have a great boss who encourages his team to take stock leave, but even so the general pressure to come into work sick has always been there...until 2020

Yes, also in Before Times the *pride* in saying “haven’t taken a sick day in years”, when your sickness was “workaholica”. But, w/ no respiratory viruses around now can’t get sick to take one.

Yes! It feels ridiculous now that people wore their accrued sick leave like a badge of pride, as if coming in when ill was great and normal
