Also I’m looking for medical & public health experts *with kids* to weigh in on how they’re thinking about Halloween-related activities, like trick or treating. DMs are open.

Lol! I do have both. But am not an epi PhD or an ID doc. We're doing a horror themed in house scavenger hunt, dressing up, and decorating outside. Live in a jurisdiction that has explicitly asked it to be cancelled (and on the same day announced indoor dance studios can reopen)

Technically I am still doing my epi PhD but I do think that trick-or-treating generally is probably very low risk. Outdoors, no close contact with others. Could probably reduce the risk substantially if parents were asked to mask up even if kids didn't have to!

@LapointeShaw has both too and she's more qualified than I am to weigh in! -
Am I? Lol. Well my kids are still little and so the idea of dressing up and doing a candy hunt in the house gets them excited so we are sticking with that. I do worry about the crowding around people’s doors that often happens when trick or treating.
