Most important skill is knowing where the bodies can be buried. All the shitty little tricks to give results "face validity". Again, see John Lott for a lifetime's work in this field.

You need to know a lot of basic epi to be good at study design. My vote goes to study design + communication
. You don't really need common sense, specially in applied research (good questions sometimes challenges common sense). I'd add causal inference instead.Thanks. Twitter will use this to make your timeline better. UndoUndo
