This is factually incorrect. The original models by Ferguson et al, if you actually bother to read them rather than relying on nonsense headlines, were remarkably prescient and almost entirely righthttps://twitter.com/drdavidbull/status/1314128141380706305 …

This Government was misled by Ferguson who was woefully wrong. His projections way off . This lockdown madness has to stop . I’ve signed the Great Barrington Declaration. Herd immunity strategy ‘could have saved more lives than social distancing’ http://digitaleditions.telegraph.co.uk/data/375/reader/reader.html?social#!preferred/0/package/375/pub/375/page/6/article/89603 …

What they say is that the model predicted half a million deaths but always ignore that it was based on doing nothing

It is now a truism: "A plague on those who confuse prediction with projection".

I’m guessing SD stands for social distancing, what are the other 3 abbreviations?

Sadly facts don’t seem to mean anything to those who are claiming that their freedom is more important than saving lives.

So Ferguson was dreadfully misrepresented and maligned, but all 'nay sayers' are only motivated by and concerned about their own, personal freedoms. Seems fair and equitable... 🙄

"Modeled" please rather than "predicted" The slow-witted get incredibly confused by the term predicted. To them if you don't get it exact the entire model is then worthless because "the prediction didn't come true."

Isn’t the biggest question why hasn’t his model worked in Sweden? Also for someone who knew just how lethal covid was, why would he break lockdown rules?
