But that's not it at all. Neither MDs nor DOs employ non-evidence based practice. There are certainly exceptions, and you can find those in both countries. The US doesn't have a monopoly on quackery.

Hmm did not know this. I wonder the situation in Canada? When I looked it up a couple years ago it seemed to be quackery, similar to chiropractic claims (eg. claims beyond helping physical pain with adjustments).

There’s a split between doctors of osteopathy and non-physician osteopaths. Accreditation has worked hard to make the education be MD + osteopathy, but it also appears to have a wider net, catching more people starting later careers, but also cranks and zealots.
